Second extension Tier1 General

Hi all,

I'm currently on Tier 1 General stamped Jan 2009. I have extended it in Jan 2012 for another two years. Due to my work, I'm currently outside UK but on the UK payroll. I can provide the proofs and meet the required points as it stands when due for Jan 2014.

However I won't be able to apply for ILR on business ground as i would have stayed almost two years outside when I'm due for extension/ILR.

Is there any restriction in applying for second extension or possibly more future extensions?

As I said I'm currently outside UK, and I would continue to do so for quite a few years as my employer wants me there.

Is home office considering to stop any extension say may be after five years of closing Tier1 General?

I can understand as no one can predict what they will do in the future but I'm trying to find whether they have made any announcements.

Under current rules, no.
