Question about divorce and visa

Post by VANSH » Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:01 pm

Hi i am writing because i want to make a quick query about a visa in regards to my future wife/current girlfriend.

She had arrived in the UK on a spouse Visa married to someone else about a year and a half ago. The marriage was a terrible one for her as her husband drank alot, did not communicate much with her and had an affair with someone else.

Since that time he has left her, she met me and currently she is going throught a divorce in the UK. I am just wondering if i could apply for a fiance Visa for her while the divorce is still going on and while she is still the uk?

Is there anyway we can extend her stay in the UK rather then her going back and me applying from here?

I have proof of bills and photo's to prove we are in a relationship and also proof to show the divorce is happening. Any advice and help will be great.

I don't mind if she has to go back and i apply from here, i just want to know if there are any other options.

Thanks

Vansh

She can't switch to fiance or spouse from her current visa from within the UK. She will have to return home and re-apply from there.
