Tier 1 General Dependent VISA application Form

Post by debi_2012 » Sun Oct 28, 2012 8:05 pm

I am sorry if the question would have been asked.

I am going to apply for Tier 1 dependent VISA. I will apply from India and it will be an online application. I have few more doubt on VISA form.

Would you please help me to clear my doubt. My main applicant is in Tier 1 (Genarl) ViSA

Used on line form from https://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk which is same as
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... /vaf4a.pdf

Q1. Type of VISA [ Exempt ,Other,Settlement,Study,Visit,Work]
>>Can I say Settlement as there is no option for dependent VISA for point based system

Q2: In Page 8, there are 2 points which are very similar.

6.4 have you been granted any uK visa/EEa Family Permit in
the last 10 years?

6.8 have you made an application to the uK border agency
to remain in the uK in the last 10 years?

>>> I had TIER 4 VISA . What will be my answer. I am thinking Yes to point 6.4 and No to 6.8 . Is it correct.

Q3 .Page 12. Please indicate what Appendix you have completed and submitted with this application:

>>> Can i say Appendix 2 (The spouse or civil partner of someone settled in the UK; or).
Can I say a tier 1 general visa holder as settled .

VAF4A is the wrong application. The paper equivalent of your application is VAF10

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... -students/

So, to answer your questions.

1. Type of visa > work
Purpose of application > PBS Tier 1 General
Type of application > Tier 1 (General) Partner

2. 6.4 is asking about visas applied for outside the UK; 6.8 is asking about applications made from inside the UK.

3. Your partner is not settled and you are not applying for settlement. You will not be attaching an appendix

Hi,

I have got a couple of questions as well Regarding the online application (for my wife tier 1 dependent visa applciation from pakistan)

--- One of the Questions on the online Tier 1 dependent application form is the following?

When do you intend to fly to UK? date of flying?

My wife hasnt bought the ticket yet. She is hoping to buy a ticket once the applciation is succesful.

So she doesnt have any exact date of flying.

Does she need to buy a ticket for a date, so she can put a date in the above question? or book a flight date?

OR

she just can put any date (but if she just put any date, how she will back it or support it with evidence)

2nd question:

another question on the online form satates ..... if you are asked for an interview,,, which language would you like the interview to be held?

My question is,,, if she says URDU (language) instead of english... will that effect the applciation... or be negative.. as they might think the applicant ENGLSIH language is not good enough? OR THIS doesnt matter

MANY THANKS

kam

I think you do not need to book ticket. You can give probability date of journey.

Regarding urdu , if your wife knows English , why do not you give English as medium of communication .
