Address written wrong on my FLR(M) form.

Post by AubreyBullock » Mon Oct 29, 2012 10:51 am

I filled out and sent off our appliaction for my FLR on September 5th and about 3 weeks later I recieved a letter saying that they are viewing my application and that's when i noticed the letter was dated September 13th and i didn't get it til weeks later. I also noticed that they had the wrong postal code on the envelope. It obviously wasn't a problem, it just took longer for the letter to get to my home but i wanted to correct it anyway so the next letters wouldn't take as long.

I've corrected the address online but it was a little confusing. I'll try to explain!

I was told to go to the border agency website and fill out a "change of address" form online. The address wasn't changing I was just trying to correct it because I got 2 characters mixed up in the postal code on the appliction. The website would not let me enter the postal code incorrectly, it said the postal code wasn't recognized so I entered the correct postal code for the "old" address field and the same thing in the "new" address field. So, who ever sees this will see the same address as the old and new and I feel like it will confuse the border agency.

Well it's been 2 months and we haven't heard anything back at all. From what i've read and researched it takes about 2 months for the entire process (biometrics and everything). I haven't gotten our passports or marriage certificate back, we haven't gotten a letter telling me to go to my biometrics... nothing. I am starting to get worried because my visa expired on October 7th. (i know they now give 28 days after your visa expires if you have an application pending but the end of that time is drawing near as well)

Has anyone had this problem before? or have any ideas why this could be taking so long?
