Tier 1 g extention in person application at Liverpool

Post by Bhanji » Wed Oct 31, 2012 5:36 pm

I had an appointment at PEO Liverpool on 29th October. I was applying for tier 1 general extension based on self-employment. When I was called at the window, i was told seniur case worker that we might not give u the decision today. but since i had to travel, i took the risk. after paying the required fee, i was called by the case worker where she looked at my case and then called me and gave the letter that my case needs further investigation and it will be sent to Sheffield.

Can some one tell me how long does it take to get the reply from Sheffield? I am really in a fix as I need to travel urgently.

regards,
W

As long as it takes UKBA to undertake and complete the verification checks that they deem necessary before deciding on the application. No one but the caseworker(s) assigned to your application can tell you how long this might me.

Is there any way to contact Sheffield for the progress on my case?

My visa is expiring on Nov 15th. Is there any chances of getting reply from UKBA before that?

Since you have made a valid, in time application your current leave will remain extant even after the date of its expiry, under Section 3C.

I have appointment on Liverpool on 14Nov. I am director of Limited company.
I want to check with you Self-Employed means whether you
have applied as Director of Limited company or Sole trader ?

And would they tell before paying the fee whether they can take decision on same day or not by seeing the application ?

I had applied as a sole trader.

Yes they did tell me before taking the fee that there is no guarantee on the same day but they will still try if they are satisfied.
