Confused Please Help

Post by griddler » Fri Nov 02, 2012 3:09 pm

Hello everyone

Well basically i am british born male and I will b marrying a pakistani girl in march in pakistan now question is I just left my job like last month and my previous job i was earning over 18600 but now i aint earning nothing for the past 3 weeks

Is there any way around the 18600 salary?

Also if i do find a 1 job that doesnt reach 18600 i will need to be working at 2 places to make that amount so can i still fill it in as category A?

She is a graduate and no problem at passing the exam in pakistan
but problem is on my side regarding the salary

also in Category A they need 6 month payslips and bank statements or just 1 bank statement would do

Thanks

If you have no income, you can pass the financial requirements with savings:

£16,000 + 2.5 X £18,600 = £62,500

Using the above formula you can use savings + income to meet the financial requirements if their are shortfalls in either of them to be used solely.

You may use two seperate jobs to show your combined income in Category A. You will need to show documents from both jobs i.e. payslips, employment letter, employment contract etc

Hope this helps.

Just wanted to clarify so i'll need 62500 as savings is that correct

Also how many bank statements do they need?

if i get employed on a temporary contract will it be rejected

Right now it seems like mission impossible for me :(

Okay:

If you are employed for less then 6 months prior to application submission you need to provide 12 months of payslips and bank statement to show you meet the £18,600 threshold.

If you have been employed more then 6 motnhs, only 6 months payslips and bank statement are required.

I am not sure about the temporary employment, can you tell us how long will be the temporary contract for? I think if its 12 months contract, it should be fine.

Most of the jobs are temporary jobs like they say 3months ongoing

I was working at 2010 as a postman till last month and they just renewed the contract by 3 months

these days most companies only recruit on temporary base ongoing positions

so it is hard

question is with a 3month ongoing contract letter visa should be won right?

If I am not mistaken you are employed directly by the Royal Male and your tax is deducted at source (by royal male), correct me if I am wrong.

So you are employed from HMRC perspective.

Since your employment ended, you are no longer employed. So you would need to satisfy the financial requirements using savings.

However if you are running your own Limited company and getting salary through your company account or you are registered as self employed. You have a chance to make it work.

Can you provide how your employment is organised to advice you better.

Yes i was employed directly by royal mail and they used to deduct the tax

I have applied for a royal mail position and i have recieved a job offer so if i do start working for them again after a 2 month gap can i still use my previous payslip earnings to show that i earned 18600 and above

I used to work at london so i moved in october to the midlands so i just applied again at royal mail

If im not mistaken i can show 12 months payslips at Category B right??

I would do ths following:

- Wait for the job to start before applying
- Show atleast on payslip from the new job
- Also show full 12 months pay, this should total to £18,600 or more

You do not have to apply for the spouse VISA as soon as you get married, you can apply for the VISA a little later to allow the circumstances to get better.

PS - make sure you have other evidence also covered such as relationship evidence, adequate acommodation etc

Hope this helps.
