Hi Gameover
I am also very interested in any update from you. My situation is similar to yours and many others on this forum.
I work for an NHS Trust and they already have a Sponsors Licence. I approached the HR Dept on 24 July for an unrestricted CoS, as I was hoping to switch from Tier 1 PSW to Tier 2 General. The Level 2 user applied for a CoS same day, but it returned an error that they do not have allocation.
The problem was that HR had not used the SMS for about 2 years since the Level 1 user left the organisation. So they completed a SCOC (Sponsorship Change of Circumstance) form requesting for another manager to be made the Level 1 user, who can then ask for annual CoS allocation. The SCOC was submitted same day (24 July).
Despite several reminders and the sending of an 'URGENT REQUEST' when it was 10 working days (8 Oct 12) to the expiry of my leave to remain, the UKBA contact centre only confirmed that they received the urgent request and had passed it to the appropriate department.
When nothing was heard back by 17 Oct, I posted my application with supporting documents from my organisation's SMS Accountable Officer, and a Timeline document containing all correspondence with the UKBA contact centre till the 17 Oct.
I posted without the CoS because my leave to remain was due to expire on 21 Oct (last Sunday).
I have not heard anything back, although it is just a couple of days.
So please I am very interested in updates as our situation is similar in a way.
Or has anybody been in a similar situation? Please share your experiences.
Cheers
