ILR Earnings less than Extension, but points wise same

Hi Experts,

Apologies if this question has been asked earlier.
I was on permanent role and was getting around 49k Gross, when my Tier1 Visa was extended in Dec 2009.
I got 45 points as result of this.

As of now I am an IT contractor and the last 12 months ( Sal + Dividend) I am showing is around 42k ( Net ).

Point wise its both same, but does it really matter if the earnings are less than what you
use to have during last extension.

Any suggestion would of great help.

Thanks for clarifying this, I was bit tensed, someone raised this suspicion to me and I was not able to find its relevance in Set(o) form and guidance notes.
