Entry visa - time frame (india)

Hi

I applied for my daughter's entry visa on 28th september 2012 still i have not received any notification from them . I went to the local FRRO -hyderabad
n they said that the file has been sent to Ministry of Home Affairs (Delhi) on 29/10/2012 and they gave me a file number . Can anyone please tell me what is the time frame to get and entry visa . I am worried coz my visa will expire next month. Is there any way where the process can be expedite.

not sure about your query , sorry but can you please tell me which local FRRO office you visited please? it will be useful for me.
