Grandfather served in British Army in 1920 in Egypt

Hello, my grandfather had served in British Army in 1920's in Egypt. He was born in Ukraine. My grandfather returned back to Russia, have been arrested and died in GULAG. My mother was born in Egypt in 1922. I was born in Russia. Can I apply for British citizenship because my grandfather served in British Army? Any ideas or links? Thanks.

No. If applying on the grounds of Crown service, you must be the one serving, not your grandfather or even your father. Even if you are the one serving, there are a number of other requirements to be met (see here and here).
