Eligibility to apply for residency/ILR

Post by matwalaboy » Sun Nov 11, 2012 12:42 pm

Hi All,

I have been in the UK on a Tier-2 ICT visa since December 2010, can someone please confirm if the duration of my stay on this visa is counting towards ILR/residency? If I continue on this visa category till December 2013 i.e. 3 years on the Tier-2 ICT and then move to a general Tier-2, can I expect to apply for ILR in December 2015 i.e. 5 years, should the current norms of ILR i.e. completion of 5 years in the UK stay the same?

Regards

your time as a T2 ICT migrant would not count towards ILR because it does not include a period before 6 April 2010.

See immigration rule 245GF
