Hi its all depend what kind of conviction it is,if it is a serious one, chance is lesser,as u have to be of nice character.8 years ago,n u havent paid the fine yet?? This can affect ur case.

Chances are very less as you failed to pay the fine earlier,if u have mentioned on ur naturalisation form it can be put in ur favour, otherwise if u havenot, u have to leave it on luck, professional advice need to be seek.ask for a solicitor.

Conviction is if you are convicted in the court of any offence.
In your case this won't apply.
Based on what I've heard, the 2 driving offences which may result in refusal of naturalisation application are:
1. Drink driving
2. Driving without insurance.
Thats y im saying its all depend on the type of conviction.
Bet of luck with that.
