Tier 2 dependent and ILR

Post by Max4182 » Tue Nov 13, 2012 2:55 pm

Hello,

I am on a Tier 2 visa. My husband on Tier 1. My child is born in UK and he is now my dependent (i.e. Tier 2 dependent)

QUESTIONS- please help!

1/. My visa (and my child's visa) will expired in early next year. If my child is not going overseas, does his visa need to be extended?

2/. I will be applying for Indefinite Leave to Remain (set O) in late 2013. When I apply, can my child, and my husband be on the application as well?

3/. Instead of being my dependent in ILR set O application, can my Child directly apply for British citizenship using MN1 form as now he will have two parents applying for ILR in late 2013?

4/. Is it correct that I have to have ILR for 1 year before applying for British citizenship? Is this one year starting from when I complete the ILR application or from when ILR is granted?

Please correct me if I listed any incorrect forms....

I have already read through the UK visa home office website so I will be very grateful if you could answer my questions directly.

Thank you very much for your help. I look forward to your reply as soon as possible.

Regards,
