Five Year Cap

Post by majid1597 » Wed Nov 14, 2012 4:40 pm

Hi all,

I hope someone can help me. My student visa along with dependants has been rejected. The reason is that they say I have been studying my degree for longer than 5 years. My first college was a bogus one in which I wasted two years of my studies and after it closed I had to start again. The rules which ame into effect in April this years also catch me and I feel this is so unfair. I have spent so much money and I aonly applied for an extension until 31st january to submit a final paper on which I was not successful. I am appealing through a solicitor but is there anyone out these who can help me with any advice i.e. human rights ground or whether they shoudl have given me discretion due to my circumstances. The new rules are extremely discriminatrory for those who had already been in the UK studying and paid their fees.

Any assistance will be so appreciated. thank you.
