How to expedite Visa

Hello folks,

I've been waiting for my Visa since I applied 4 months back. I and my dependent had completed biometrics in August 1st week.

One of my friend has already received his and dependent's visa long back eben though they applied after us!

I have joined a new company and need to submit my proof of eligibility to work in the UK to the HR department.

For this, I would like to request for Visa expedite process.

I called up UKBA today morning, and the person mentioned I need to send a written letter to the address from where I received the acknowledgement letter.

This is in contract to the other person from UKBA whom I talked to a gew weeks ago. I was earlier told, I need to send a fax.

I'm not sure whats the correct process. Please can someone guide me on this?
