My wife is from the Philippines and is about to apply for PR,She has been in uk and married for over 5 years -she has a mixture of employment and self -employment in that time .I am an Irish citizen with permantent residence, question is- apart from our passports , marriage cert and her proof of exercising treaty rights do we need to provide any other documents like my work record ?
Many thanks for that helpful and informative reply.Yes I do have PR and I will send 5yrs of my bank statements ( a bit of a bundle) to prove residence , my wife however did not open a bank account until 2010 so I will get letters from her work and from accountant to prove her residence and self employment during the five year period ,Jambo wrote:Only the EEA national can exercise treaty rights. The activities of your wife are irrelevant and she will depend on your status to qualify for PR. you state that you have PR. do you have a document certifying PR following an EEA3 application? If you do, then that document (and proof you haven't left the UK if this is older than 2 years) would prove treaty rights. You wife just need to prove residence during the 5 years. If you don't have a PR confirmation from the HO, you will need to provide proof of doing so for 5 years. Check the form for the evidence required.
