Hello everyone ,
I have a concern which I would like to expose it over here for experience charing with whoever might be going the same routes as myslef.
Well Im an ILR holder ,and I reside in Scotland where I got married with my scottish wife in first place over 2years ago.But our marriage unfortunately is going through difficult times as my wife wants to end our relationship and file for divorce as this is what she is wanting right now.to get back her independence as this is her second marriage and my first marriage.to cut it short.my question is : if she managed to get the divorce through, under the current UK immigration rules,my ILR wont get afftected purely of a divorce, and that I will have to wait another 3years after been granted ILR to be able and eligible to apply for my British Citizenship.I will not be able to apply for citizenship until the end of 2015.so what happens to my immigration category if Scotland got her independence and the UK breaks.By then Scotland will become a foreign country to the rest of the UK.so I am wondering what will be the sort of my category.
Can anyone answer my question please.if my question is still not understood well enough, just whoever might answer this dont hesitate to ask me for further explanation.
thank you very much indeed
