Kind of a strange situation but any advice would be appreciated. My partners visa was due to expire 10 nov. We sent it via postal application in october. Due to waiting times my partner then wanted to change to the premium application but by this time the visa was expired and we didnt want to withdraw the application and lose the fee. However a few days after this we recieved the full application back with a letterstating the fee had been declined by the bank and that we had used the wrong form. This was due to it being updated in the month between me printing it and sending it. The question I want to ask is as we now have all the documents back can we now do the premium application? Others have suggested that as the visa is now expired it would be invalid. However we went to the actual UKBA checking office and the person there said it would be possible if we could get an appointment within reasonable time which they say is 28days. he doubted we would due to waiting times but if we could I am unsure because he did warn if we submit an application with a mistake again we will be rejected due to this and my fear is we willdo it and the they will reject us as the visa is up. I dont want to take any risks if theres the possibility of this happening even though theyve said itll be fine I would rather just fill in the right application and resend it by post as this is definately ok. Any advice? Sorry for long post
