urgent advise please -delivery on marriage visitor visa

Post by sameer_mqj » Sat Nov 17, 2012 2:32 pm

Dear All Gurus,

i am here on a Tier 1 Psw. i invited my girl friend to UK on a visitors visa
last december, while she was here in UK , she got pregnant . when i applied to get marry her here in UK in the council i did not had my passport so i could not legally marry her, so we got married in a mosque.
After i received my visa i then took the marriage mosque certificate to foreign common wealth organisation to get the attestation and got it attested and took that marriage certificate to the indian embassy and got my wifes name endorsed in my passport.
Any one in UK on a visit visa does not get a free treatment but when i went to the GP they registered her saying that she is my wife and registered her.

she then left UK to apply for a dependent visa i received my visa for tier 1 psw and got her name endorsed on my passport , when she applied for her visa back home the british consulate rejected her visa saying that the marriage certificate is not valid , even though i got my wifes name endorsed on my passport, I then applied for her marriage visitors visa which got approved,

When she came back here in August 2012 she gave birth to my baby
and then after the delivery we got married in the council in october.

Now when she was returning back with the baby , on the airport she got stopped by the UKBA and asked her how she got treatment for pregnancy.
she told them that she did not pay for the treatment.

UKBA took all her details and told her that she may have to pay for the treatment before she returns to UK.

NOw then she applying for her dependent visa along with the baby.

Please advise what do i do . do i have to pay for the treatment.
GP registerd her after checking her passport and did not tel us that she cant have the treatment , and i was not aware of this law

Please advise people, does her visa will get rejected if i apply for her dependent.

Thankyou,
Sameer

Not sure if they can refuse the visa because of this outstanding bill but yes your wife will need to pay this bill. People on vist visas are not entitled to free nhs services. Hope you answerd the question about previously receiving medical treatment in the uk honestly otherwise you could be refused for being disshonest.

They can refuse the visa if the NHS bill isn't paid.

It is not GP's responsibility to check/validate/interprete your immigration status.

I really thank you for the prompt reply. What is the procedure of making this payment, other question is hope they wont charge me thousands of pounds, in regards to answering the question if she had treatment when she was here in UK, when she filled an online application ,there was no such question where she could tell them that she was pregnant and she is having a treatment.

Please guys i need you to point me in the right direction.
Thank.
