telecommunications worker wanting to immigrate

i have been in telecommunications for 15 years. i specialize in fibre optics, but have done many other aspects of telecom. be it from software programming or to physical implementation, i have done this for companies like, Microsoft, Amazon, Yahoo, Google, AT&T, Verizon to name a few. Anyways I would like to move to europe, preferably UK, to work abroad. what/is there a best way to go about doing this? can it be done? any info would be greatly appreciated.
