New Partner and Bank Account

Post by omairsunny » Mon Nov 19, 2012 10:36 am

Hello Everybody,
Hope everyone is fine and enjoying winters or getting ready for the Christmas. I have always found this forum very active, informative and encouraging. This makes life lot n lot easier for all of us who are in the process of immigration/visa away from their home lands and working hard here. I wish each and every person a very good luck for their cases/applications and pray for a bright future here in UK.
Today i am putting forward a simple inquiry about adding a person in with me (forming a team). Initially i planned myself only to apply for this visa (entrepreneur) and arranged everything including the sum of 50000 pounds in a renowned bank back home (Pakistan). Now i have registered a company as well and made myself a director. One of my good mate is also on psw and his visa runs out at the same time as mine. He is getting immense difficulties in arranging the funds so i decided to help him out and get him on board with me and add him as a director in my company. My question regarding this entrepreneurial team is.
"Since the Funds are in my bank account back home and i am the only sole operator of that account, do i have to now open up a joint account for the team or can i "simply write on my behalf that the funds available are for both of us and i will fund all the joint ventures for the team. ". As you can see that at this point, its easier for me to just give a written statement for the funds availability for BOTH OF US rather than OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT. So will it work if i only write on some official paper or whatsoever that the money is available for my partner as well rather than opening a joint account ? "
It would be of great help if someone can advice me in this regard as this will make life easy for me and for my friend as well.. Thanks in advance and Kind Regards

Post by Naheedsammar » Mon Nov 19, 2012 4:03 pm

Hi all,
I am in same situation at the moment. got very good job with NHS because of my post study work visa but salary is not £20,000 to apply for work permit route. I have got some funds available arround £ 15000 but can not find any business. i have been in uK since 2005 and my psw visa is runing out next year in march. I do not want to go back to international student visa as i have already done my MBA from a good university. I want to set up my busienss but do not know how and wehre to start from. according to tier 1 enterpreneur visa condition is that I have to be Director of the company 3 months prior to apply for this visa which mean november is the only month i should get registerd as director of the company. any advice how i should start and how long it takes to get registerd with company house.

Thanks in Advance
Wish you all best of luck
