visa working tax credit

hi my wife lives in the philippines and has recently got her settlement visa to travel to the uk to live with me.she is unable to travel here for a few months.i am having a few financial problems so may need to claim working tax credit .would this affect her visa could they take the visa off her if i claim this benefit.i would really appreciate any information thank you.

if you have ILR or a national of the UK then it won't affect her application. For the purpose of benefits such as working tax credits, the status of the settled person is taken into account

until your partner is living with you, you need to claim as a single person... once she moves in change it to a joint claim....
