Checklist - Wife's Dependent Tier 1 General Application Form

Post by vicky8319 » Mon Nov 19, 2012 4:15 pm

Hi all,

My wife will be taking the following things along with her this week during her appointment at VFS, Chennai office.

She has already submitted her application online. I believe she don't have to fill up any other application or take any other print outs before visiting the VFS Centre. KINDLY CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG

1. Savings Bank Account Sole Owner (myself and not my wife)- HDFC Bank, India - 90 Days Bank A/C statement
2. Marriage Registration Certificate
3. Her Passport
4. Self attested xerox copy of my Passport (First and last pages)
5. Self attested xerox copy of my VISA (front and back of the BRP Card)
6. 4 color photos of my marriage (3 marriage + 1 reception)
7. My Wedding Invitation (which has both my mother tongue and English version of invite)
8. Her passport size photographs (she has more than 4 matching UK standard, Let VFS take how much ever they want)

Am i good with this or am i missing something else ??

Few items -

1. Print out of online application form submitted. A Must* if I remember.
2. TB Test report from 'registered' hospitals only in India. A MUST MUST.
3. T1(G) - Dependent fee 73,450
4. Your 'sponsorship/cover' letter may be helpful.
5. Your 3-month payslips may be helpful
6. I don't know how old is your marriage. 'sustained relationship' proof such as chat history/phone record etc may be helpful.
7. one print-out set of documents submitted.

Item#7 - check the specific text from ukba website link provided..
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/count ... /applying/
For every document that you provide, you must include the original document and a photocopy
In India VFS, photocopy facility is available for 1 INR as well.

Item 4,5,6 are clearly marked as 'may be helpful'.

In IB forum, I have read rejections earlier and these items were advised (though not necessary) but may be better to add.

I would advise a new applicant to see some dependant rejection cases in the forum.

P.S. - My spouse will switch from T2-ICT to T1(G)-dependent and hence the research.

Hope it helps! Good luck.

Thanks for all your help....

We have submitted the application for my wife this week. Following was attached....

1. Print out of online application form submitted.
2. Barclays UK bank Account Statement - for Fund Maintenance and Salary Debit as well
2. TB Test report from 'registered' hospitals only in India. A MUST MUST.
3. T1(G) - Dependent fee 73,450
4. Xerox copy of my Passport (First and last pages)
5. Xerox copy of my VISA (front and back of the BRP Card)
6. Passport Size Photographs of my marriage (3 marriage + 1 reception)
7. 2 Wedding Invitation (which has both my mother tongue and English version of invite)
8. 4 color photos of my marriage (3 marriage + 1 reception)

I sent my wife initiallly inside the VFS Centre. After 45 minutes she called me saying they are asking for proof of accomodation.
I then went inside and spoke to the lady who requested that. She said it is not mandatory, but people submit it and that is the reason she asked it. She said that she just asked if my wife had those letters or documents as others submit it, she said she would take that it we had. She had also asked for my proof of work for myself. I said salary credit will reflect in Bank Statements and i have highlighed it And a verification has already been done by UKBA when a visa was issued recently to me.
