Submitted Biometrics in Sept. 2008. Do I submit again?

I submitted Biometrics as part of my entry clearance in 2008. They didn't offer biometric permits at the time.

I changed to Tier 1 in 2009. Again no BRP was required. I'm renewing my Tier 1 visa now... and a BRP is required.

Do I need to submit new biometrics for my Tier 1 extension or are the biometrics I submitted in 2008 still in the system?

You do need to submit your biometric details for your Tier 1 extension. These details are used to verify your identity each time you apply for a new visa/extension. Biometrics will be recorded at the time of each application irrespective of whether you have provided them before or not.
