Could you please help - Child benefit & Tier 2

Post by fmohamed » Tue Nov 20, 2012 5:29 pm

I have been claiming the child benefit sice Jan 2010, while I was filling my application 2 weeks ago I had realized that I am not entitlied to. I phoned the HMRC many times and send them an email and a special delivery letter asking them to stop the CB and to tell me how to pay the money back, I haven't heard from them yet.

My appointment with the home office was last Tuesady, I told them about the case and I mentioned it in a cover letter in which I have attached all the details. They said that they are going to hold my application till I send them a letter from HMRC confirming a repayment plan for the calimed benefit.

Any suggestions how to get this letter, the HMBA need it within 14 days. And the HMRC helpline is a night mare, each time I call them they say we passed it to the head office.

By the way I am a Tier 2 (General), and my current visa will expire 29/11/2012.

Please advice
