Simply ask the registry office what documents they accept!

thanks for your reply i have contacted one registry office they said i cant give notice without my passport, i want to know if this is right because ive seen people on this forum saying they got married with other forms of id which i do have aswell

It's not a matter of having a passport, it's a matter of having suitable documentation that identifies you. The passport is therefore the most appropriate but there are other documents that are accepted.

thats what i thought aswel but when i contacted the registry office they said they cant take my uk provisional drivers licence as a form of id

Of course not but that's not what you asked. There are other forms of official paperwork that can be accepted in lieu of a passport. You may have to find out what that are and if they involve making contact with the UKBA or your Embassy in the UK.
