Schengen visa for me and spouse

Hi all,

I am an Indian PhD student about to submit my thesis. I have been offered a temporary 3 month visiting researcher position at a University in Sweden. I am applying for a Schengen visa. My wife would like to accompany me to Sweden. Can we submit our visa applications together or does she have to wait till I go to Sweden and invite her as a relative?

Please help.

There is no need to put your real name here. You might want to edit your previous post to remove it.

Where are you located?

Your host university may be better placed to help you. I suspect you do not want a generic Schengen visitors visa, and instead want a Sweden specific education research or work visa.
