Same day appointment december

Hi
I have been trying to get an appointment for December via a Solicitor. I shared my details on 5th November but am yet to get an appointment. I am told that UK Home Office is yet to share the dates for December due to heavy rush. Is anyone aware of this and facing the same situation?
