Fiance Visa Refused :(

Post by wedundsty » Fri Nov 23, 2012 5:49 pm

I would like your guys help if you don't mind.

My fiance and I was refused under the ground that we have not held the saving funds for 6 months! The thing is is that we proved that the money we had in saving was from a house sale and not given to us from anyone nor a loan. Is there any advice on how to go about apealing this? If I go to the First tribune in UK and appeal in person with the same documents proving that these funds are legit would I have a chance on getting them to change there minds? If not that means I will have to go through the whole process again in april and have already given up my job.

I applied in the US and it was the new york visa hub who refused
Thank you for any advice!

The rules are clear that money has to have been held for six months. You can appeal if you think that you meet that requirement and the decision to refuse was a mistake. However, it seems from what you have said that you have not had cash money for six months and the NY Hub are not generally as bad at making mistakes as some other locations.
