Spouse visa application

Post by sheldon1 » Sat Nov 24, 2012 2:13 pm

I work for a security company. I have so done now for nearly 15 months. The issue i have is... Which box do i tick for my wife's spouse visa. It says salaried/fix term/agency. I earn gross over £1870 each month so i believe i meet the required income threshold. My children have British passports. so will not be sponsored. I have the required six months bank statements pryor to application. My contract is permanent. But i believe it's what you call o hours. So i not sure where i stand? I need to apply pretty quickly so would appreciate any help you could give? I think 30 percent of the UK workforce are on these type of contracts now. But the appendix 2 form does not make it clear. And i am worried about putting in the wrong information.

This should be ok as long as you show you have earned enough (£1550) before tax every month for the last 6 months prior to the application. In just the same way that someone who's basic salary does not meet the requirement they can use overtime to meet the requirement as long as its shown consistently above this amount for every month of the 6 month period.

Thank you Franko for your reply. But which section does my contract come under thats's my issue? If i put salaried i would be wrong. It's not fixed term. And certainly not an angency. It says Overtime and bonuses can be used towards Salaried employment. Does not mention my type of contract. I don't know which catergory i belong too?
