Can sponsor claim Child benefit when signed sponsorship form

Background:

Myself, wife are on ILR.
I will be bringing my monther on ILR for which i will be signing sponsorship form that i will be responsible for her (anything you name it), OK.

Question 1 here, that can myslef or my wife claim CB and it won't affect my monther application ILR application from abroad.

Question 2:

Is this applicable to sponsor or his applicant or both?

People granted indefinite leave on the conditions of a maintenance undertaking
A person who has been granted leave and whose sponsor has signed a maintenance undertaking can claim the following funds:

 Attendance allowance
 Carer’s allowance
 Child benefit
 Disability living allowance
 Severe disablement allowance
 Contribution-based employment and support allowance (ESA)
 Social fund payment.

As indicted in the guidance this refers to the applicant and not the sponsor. Have you sought advice on this application from a competent immigration solicitor/advisor

You can claim child benefit, it will have no effect on your mothers application.

Thank you Greenie as always.

May i also ask this that how one finds out that what benefits sponsor can apply while not breaching the sponsorship undertaking. I hope this would help other people too.
