Can I change job roles before ILR application?

Hello,

I will be applying for ILR next year (2013) from Work Permit. I'm being promoted next month in my current company. This means, I will still work for my current employer but my role, job description & salary will change & will be different from my Work Permit details when I apply for ILR. Salary will be higher and sponsor/employer is the same but job role is different. How will this affect my ILR application?

This will require a new application for leave to remain (extension) under Tier 2.

You should start working in this new role only after being granted leave for this new sponsored role.
