Evidence of funds for self suficient EU national

Post by mz » Sat Nov 24, 2012 8:05 pm

Hi, I'm EU national and during my 6 year stay in UK I was a self sufficient person for few months. I was living with my boyfriend who financialy supported me during that period. We held joint bank account and his salary was coming regulary to this account each month. After we would pay all our expenses and bills the balance on the account would occasionaly be as low as 50GBP, however we can prove that we never went into overdraft.

Would bank statements and my boyfrieds pay slips for the relevant period be sufficient evidence of funds?

Please help if you have any info. Thank you

PS. Thank you Gyfrinachgar for your help to my question on previous topic 'Evidence of comprehensive health insurance', it was of great help. For some reason reply to that topic is bloked so I can't make any replys.

For self sufficient periods, you would need CSI.

Was this period between jobs? For how long? Have you spent the entire period in the UK?

BTW - Have you registered with WRS?

If you case is not straight forward, it would be better to apply first for PR confirmation using form EEA3. The application is free and will flush out any issues if exist.

Thanks Jumbo.

I was self sufficent for four months and that was period between I finished my studies in UK and started to work in UK. During these 4 months I went home for 3 weeks and the rest I spent in the UK.

Last year there was a period of 2 and a half weeks when I had time off between jobs (instead of working entire month's notice period I agreed with my employer to have my notice shorter so I have some time off before I start new job). Again, I went home for 4 days and the rest I spent in UK. I presume I would need to declare that time as sel sufficient as well, correct? Will I need CSI for these 2 and a half weeks as well?

In regards to evidence of sufficient funds I couldn't find anywhere if I need to have certain amount of money and what evidence will sufice. Does anyone know?

Thank you
