Shall I withdraw my application?

Hi,

I was working on Tier 2 visa which was about to expire in the month of July'12.
Unfortunately I was in hospital and under treatment at the end of my visa. For ongoing medical treatments, Doctors advised me to stay for couple of months. Hence I appiled for flr(o) before expiry of my tier 2 visa.
But even after waiting for almost 5 months, I could not get the visa from UKBA.
I need to travel back to my home country. Shall I withdraw my application in current scenario?
If I withdraw visa application, will there any problems at emigration on airport while going back? As well as, will it affect my future liabilities of visa applications?
Please advise me...
