Funds maintaining for Tier-1 General dependents confusion?

Hi All,

Am on Tier-1 general visa and lived lessthan 12 months in UK, recently got extension till 2014.

Now am planning to apply for dependents visas for my wife and 2yrs kid from India.

Funds required is 1800 pounds for each dependent i.e total for 2 dependents =3600, and equivalent INR have been in one of Indian bank account on my wife's name for continuous 3 months.

And my funds 900 is in UK bank account on my name for continuous 3 months.

Will show UK and Indian bank statements for funds.

But when i see below link..

And in Policy Guidance ... looks like funds must be maintained in Main applicant? below is the text copied from guidance ...

"If the Tier 1 Migrant is outside the United Kingdom or has been present in the United Kingdom
for less than 12 months, you must show that you, the Tier 1 Migrant, or (for children) your other
parent who is also legally present in the United Kingdom have at least £1800 to support you; this
is in addition to any funds the Tier 1 Migrant needs to prove they have enough money to support
themselves. Please note dependants of Tier 1 (Investors) and Tier 1 (Exceptional Talent) do not
need to satisfy the maintenance requirement."



My question is if my wife is maintaining funds required for herself and our kid, will it fulfill the funds requirement condition for them?

Can anyone please help in this ...
