Does Employment with company serve Evidence of maintenance?

Post by checkvisa123 » Tue Nov 27, 2012 5:38 am

Dear Consultant,

Currently I am on Tier-1 PSW Visa and working with the firm which is ready to sponsor my Tier-2 General Visa.
I have checked 90 days funds maintenance requirement for Tier-2 General category.
My funds maintenance will complete on 28th Dec. But my immegartion lawyer has updated that:

Immigration law firm: There is no requirement for you to provide the 90 day fund requirement as your employment with ABC company serves as evidence of your maintenance for this application.

I have checked Tier 2 Policy Guidance (Version 08/2012) - Page 13 of 56 and found below:

108. In order for a Certificate of Sponsorship to be assigned on or after the 6 April 2012, your sponsor will need to have confirmed that they will support you through funds and/or accommodation that is / are sufficient for you to maintain yourself throughout the period of employment stated on your Certificate of Sponsorship, and that you will receive pay and
conditions at least equal to, or excess of those normally given to a settled worker in the same role. This may be a traditional salary, stipend, customary offering, board and lodgingsor a combination of these.

Could you please help me to find out, if I still need to show fund maintenance?

Many Thanks,
NP

When I was about to send my bank statements to the agency who deals with my visa application a month ago, they said I am no longer required to provide a proof on maintenance as my company can help to certify that...my application was sent without any bank statements...
