In the form for Main applicant there is a section for Reference Numbers. Can you please clarify what these reference numbers are?

"Have you ever had any Home Office or UK Border Agency reference number(s) assigned to you?"

Where can I find these reference numbers?

Any fast response will be highly appreciated because I have an appointment tomorrow in the morning. Thank you.
