Hi My friend entered in nov 2009 to UK on student visa.. valid up to march 2011
He applied HSMP in 2010 april ( through consultant)
got aknowledge from UKBA in 7th april 2011 saying that if your application was submitted before you last grant of leave expired, the condition attached to you extend to live remain continue until desicion is made on your current application.

he use to call ukba evry time and tyhe response is in process...

he with draw the application and ask for the document return .. till yesterday the said in process. today he wnet to home office london . they are also saying in process .. if you need passport urgent plz made aletter to shefffield office........ his student visa expired b4 1year 7 months till today..

he is soo depressed
please help me how can he get passport back ( coz he lost his grand father b4 7 months now his father is ill he wants to leave permentaly from UK he is from india please help him.

Are you saying that he applied for Tier 1 (General) in April 2010 or 2011 (unclear from your post) and has been waiting since then?

It is unclear from your post whether he has formally withdrawn his application? This can only be done in writing, not orally.

He applied in 2010 and withdraw in 2011 waiting from then HSMP( formerly)
he with draw send letter toUKBA they asked to call to one number they are saying its under process . will let u soon it is happening from 1 year, again he asked in home office .. last week they said its under process. we will contact you.. if any urgency post letter to sheffield office they will contact you..... please suggest us what to do for taking the passport....
