New Fianancial Requirement

Post by Franko » Wed Nov 28, 2012 3:37 pm

Under the new rules if you show you earn well in excess of the £18600, can they still refuse you for not showing much money in your account? My wife has recently made an application and I have submitted all the releveant evidence that I earn over 2 x the required amount. However shortly after my pay comes in my bill payments go out and I then normally pay off my credit card and use this for my monthly spend, so from the begining to end of month my account does not show much of a balance. Can they still refuse on this? or is it simply earn £18600 and you pass this requirement?

Thanks

The requirement is to show the minimum income of £18,600. Expenditure isn't taken into consideration, unlike the pre-9th July rules.

Your actual bank balance or level of personal debt is not relevant. All that matter is that you have an income at the required level.
