EEA family permit from inside the UK!! is it possible?

Post by Mohamed2 » Wed Nov 28, 2012 9:24 pm

hello everybody!

I'm a non EU citizen , my wife is a EEA citizen residing in the UK since 2005, I have been in the Uk 2 times before as a family visitor.
I want to ask if there is a possibility to apply for an EEA family permit from inside the UK .

Mohamed

The EEA Family Permit serves as an entry clearance ("visa") to enter the UK and is only valid for 6 months. As you are already in the UK, it is not needed. You should apply for a 5 years Residence Card using form EEA2. The required evidence is similar.

As the husband of an EU citizen you are entitled to remain in the UK for as long as you want. If you are visiting right now, you do not need to go home.

Is she working here? Since when has she worked?

She is studying at the moment and looking for a job, she never worked before.

Your EEA national wife is in the UK since 2005,if she is a British citizen now then you are unable apply under EU regulations.
