Investor visa dependant

Post by DALISO » Thu Nov 29, 2012 10:55 am

My boyfriend is applying to come to the UK under the Investor visa. I am already in the UK under a Tier 1 catergory(post study). Once he gets here, will i be able to switch and apply to be his dependant? (as a civil partner rather than marriage partner). How do I go about it? or is there another route for me to take to stay in the UK?

A 'civil partner' is a same gender couple who have formed a legal civil partnership. Do you mean unmarried partner? This requires you to have been living together in a relationship akin to marriage for two years.
