PEO appointment - £1,000 agent fee for family slot too high?

Dear all,

I need to apply for settlement with my wife and baby and have to apply through PEO appointment as we cannot afford the lengthy application time through post application. I have just started trying to get the appointment by freshing the website at midnight, no success so far.

Based on what I have seen in the forum, such family appointment for three would be extremly difficult to get without an agent - is this correct? Has anyone successfully secured a PEO appointment for family without using the agent?

I have spoken to an agent who quoted £1,000 for securing us a PEO appointment as well as checking supporting documents etc. I find the fee very high - Could you please kindly advise whether £1,000 fee is in line with what other agents charge? Do you have an agent name who charges more reasonable fee that you can share the contact details with?

Thanks.

1. I am aware that my UK-born baby can directly apply for citizenship once I settle in the UK. However, because we have to travel outside the UK in near future, we want to include him in the settlement application

2. I intend to have the PEO appointment in beginning of Jan 2013, which is in less than 6 weeks
