Spouse Visa Guidance

Post by RizRehman » Thu Nov 29, 2012 12:47 pm

I just need some information about applying for spouse visa in UK.

My sister in law is in UK and she is a UK national. My brother wants to apply for Spouse visa and come here and register the marriage.
I know this question must have been asked few times and i have searched alot and dont seem to find the answer on this forum..

SO i want to know what is the procedure and what needs to be done before they he can apply.

My brother has been here before and lived 3 years. He has PSW visa but he went back to Saudi Arabia to help my dad in business..and His Psw expired last year.

And im in uk from last 7 years ( if that helps or matters)

SO what will be the best way for him to come here or should he come on any other visa and than once in UK he can register marriage and apply for Spouse.

Please guide me..
Thanks and help is much appreciated.

and from my sister in law side what she needs to do ie : maintain funds, how much, for how long ??

Being honest - if you can't understand the information in the top link - then you need someone properly qualified to help with the entire application.

RizRehman - keep calm...

Well basically if you are asking whether your should come on a UK Spouse VISA or some other category VISA. It is entirely up to you.

One route (a little cheaper and practical)

Sister in law goes to Saudi Arabia -> They both get married -> your brother applies for Spouse VSIA

The other route:

Your brother gets a Fiance VISA (valid for 6 months) -> comes to UK and gets married -> applies for FLR

Hope this helps...
Feb 2012 - Spouse Visa - New Delhi
Mar 2012 - Documents collected - VISA Granted
March 2014 - ILR Granted
Apr 2015 - Applied for Naturalisation
Nov 2015 - Naturalised
