Tier 2 (ICT) to ILR

Post by pshahani » Thu Nov 29, 2012 1:21 pm

Hi

i have been reading various forums and pages on the UKBA website, but am still confused if i will be eligible for ILR in Oct 2013. Some guidance on the below will help clear the confusion.

My visa status is:
1. Arrived in the UK on a work permit on 1 Oct 2008
2. Converted into Tier 2 (ICT) on 1 May 2009 and valid until Dec 2011.
3. Extended the above Tier 2 ICT Visa in Dec 2011 which is now valid until Dec 2013.

I have been told that if the Tier 2 ICT was granted before 6 Apr 2010 (which is true in my case), then my stay on this visa gets counted towards ILR.

So, will i be eligible to apply for ILR in Oct 2013 (5 years from my initial entry into the UK)?

There have been no gaps in my stay in the UK since Oct 2008. Visa extensions have always been done before expiry, hence i have always been in the UK over the past 4 years on a valid visa.

Many thanks in advance
