visa query

Post by babas » Thu Nov 29, 2012 3:32 pm

i am a uk citizen and brought grand mum over for private treatment under a medical visa. Unfortunately we have been informed that she would now need palliative care for the rest of his life and we can't get that in our home country.

Is it possible to switch her to a depandant visa while she is here in the UK with me? Are there other options available?

Please advise

You are permitted to apply but it's not possible to say if the outcome of that application will be positive. The UKBA will want to see evidence of your claim that this standard of care is not available in her country.

I would urge you to seek professional assistance with this matter to fully understand the merits of such an application. A refusal will effectively kill any chance of another visit visa being granted.
