Fear for Tier 2 General refusal please help!

Hi all

My current Tier 2 visa will expires in Oct 2013.
Will def. get my employer to apply for unrestricted COS in June/July period.

When I first came in 2010, I made a stupid mistake and got myself a motoring conviction, will this affect my extension?
What should I do in order to ensure the refusal rate to the minimum?

Hi,
I am in a similar situation. My tier 2 visa expires in August 2013, but I have a motoring conviction dated January 2012. Will that effect my Tier 2 visa extension application?
I was under the impression that only ILR and citizenship applications are affected by conviction.
Please help.

It is motoring code AC20. Failure to stop after a road accident.

I have SP30 withouth any penalty but attended driving awareness course.
