Tier 1 (General) - Extension - Age Assessment

Post by am24 » Wed Dec 05, 2012 6:26 am

Hi friends,

I need to go for Tier 1 general extension next month. Below are my short visa history to understand in summary:-
- My DOB - 24th Feb 1981.
- My first visa, entry clearance on 26 Nov 2009 as Tier 2 (ICT)
- Tier 1 application on 14th Feb 2011 (time of application age - 29)
- Tier 1 approval on 18th March 2011 (time of approval age - 30)

Case worker considered my age - as on application date (i.e. 29) and granted 20 points. They didn't consider the age (30) on approval time.

Confusion:- If I should put age in point based calculator now 29 or 30 years ? While the point calculator is stating :-
"Enter your age at the date of your application for your first permission to stay as a Tier 1 (General) migrant, Highly Skilled Migrant, Writer, Composer or Artist or Self-Employed Lawyer ."

I am confused what age should I enter here 29 or 30 years.
Please help me here to rid out the confusion :(

what is the confusion here?

guideline clearly says "Enter your age at the date of your application for your first permission to stay as a Tier 1 (General) migrant..."

what age was considered when you applied visa for the first time ?

The same value should be considered now
