Tier 1 General Extension from home country?

Tier 1 General Extension from home country?

Dear all,

Can you please advice on whether i can apply for my Tier 1 General visa extension from my home country (India) since I have to be in India for 2-3 months before my visa expires due to an urgent personal situation. My extension comes up in March 2013 and I have to be in India from day after tomorrow - this was completely unforseen.
