Tier 1 - Very Strange query

Post by SJ12345 » Fri Dec 07, 2012 10:40 am

Hi All,

My Tier 1 General Extn. is due next month and I am confused on few points like:

1. I applied my previous Tier1 G initial leave on 17th July 2010 by post (I have kept the postal receipts safe) and as per current rules until 19th July 2010; I was required to have minimum 95 points which were going to increase to 100 points from 19th July 2010.

Although I was required to have only 95 points I applied with 100 points and was awarded the same.

Now my query is that do I need to renew my Tier 1 G with 100 points or can I fulfil the conditions with 95 points because of the fact that I applied on 17th July 2010 on my previous successful leave.

2. Can I send my wife’s visa application 1-2 weeks after I apply for myself? Of course to save on application fees.

3. I need to be in earning bracket of £ 40000-£49999 to get 95 points. Can I show exactly £ 40000 (Gross Salary) to get the points of this slab? Do you think is there any harm?

I will appreciate your advice on above.

Thanks in advance.

1. You need to get 95 points to qualify

2. Yes but not advisable. People have done this in the past...

3. Yes

Hi, what is the harm if we apply dependent visa after 1-2 weeks of main applicant Tier1.

I don't think you can send your wife's application separately soon afterwards as you would likely not yet have a decision on your application.

Hi Thanks for your valuable advice. Can anyone confirm if it possible or not to apply dependent visa without getting result for main applicant.

If you are thinking of applying by post for yourself and then applying for your wife after 2-3 weeks, then I would say it's risky proposition.
