Post by JOHN22 » Sat Dec 08, 2012 8:44 am

Hi I am a non EEA national, came to UK on 5 year's work permit in March 2003, got married to an EEA national in Nov 2007, got 5 year resident permit in Feb 2008 which is valid till 11 feb 2013, unfortunately we are divorced now and decree absolute was issued in Apr 2012.
my question is as my visa expiring on 11 feb what kind of form and documents do i need to submit my application.

Why did you not apply for ILR after the 5 years work permit, or where the conditions not kept?
Was you wife exercising treaty rights at time of divorce and can you prove this?

If you can, and you have been working also, since the divorce, you can apply for Permanent Residence.
